"Jehovah Jireh."
"The Lord will provide." — Genesis 22:14 (AMP)
This is the name that carries the promise of provision—not just for today, but for every need you will ever face. He sees the need before it arises. He prepares the answer before you even ask.
The Scripture That Reveals This Name:
Genesis 22:13-14 (AMP) — "Then Abraham looked up and glanced around, and behold, behind him was a ram caught in the thicket by his horns. And Abraham went and took the ram and offered him up as a burnt offering instead of his son. So Abraham named that place 'The Lord Will Provide.'"
Philippians 4:19 (AMP) — "My God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
Psalm 23:1 (AMP) — "The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want."
Matthew 6:31-33 (AMP) — "Do not worry, saying, 'What are we to eat?' or 'What are we to drink?' or 'What are we to wear?' ... Your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But first and most importantly seek His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you also."
A Declaration of Provision:
"Jehovah Jireh—
You are the Lord who provides.
You provide salvation—through the Lamb who was slain.
You provide daily bread—for this day, this moment, this need.
You provide strength—when I am weak.
You provide hope—when I am weary.
You provide a future—when I cannot see the way.
You see what I need before I ask.
You prepare the answer before I arrive at the mountain.
You are never late, never caught off guard.
I will not fear lack.
I will not worry about tomorrow.
I will trust in Jehovah Jireh."
A Prayer of Trust:
"Lord, my Provider,
I bring my needs to You—known and unknown.
I lay down my worries and receive Your peace.
I open my hands to trust You, not my own effort.
Provide for my family, my health, my work, my future.
Provide wisdom where I am confused.
Provide strength where I am weak.
Provide a way where there seems to be no way.
You are Jehovah Jireh.
And You have already gone before me."
The Promise for You:
The same God who provided a ram for Abraham on Mount Moriah is your Provider. He knows your name, your needs, and your tomorrows. He is not limited by your resources—He is the source of all resources.
Jehovah Jireh. Let that name quiet your fears today. He sees. He knows. He provides. You are safe in His care.
