"Lord, make us a blessing to others."
This is the prayer of a heart that has received and now longs to give. Not to keep the blessing to ourselves—but to let it flow through us to a world in need.
The Scripture That Sends Us Out:
Genesis 12:2 (AMP) — "And I will bless you [abundantly], and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing."
1 Peter 4:10 (AMP) — "Just as each one of you has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God."
Matthew 5:16 (AMP) — "Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven."
2 Corinthians 9:8 (AMP) — "God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work."
A Prayer to Be a Blessing:
"Lord,
You have blessed me beyond measure—
with salvation, with grace, with presence, with peace.
I do not want to keep it to myself.
Make me a blessing to others.
Let my words bring hope to the discouraged.
Let my hands bring help to the needy.
Let my presence bring comfort to the lonely.
Let my life point others to You.
Open my eyes to see the needs around me.
Open my heart to care deeply.
Open my hands to give generously.
Use me as a vessel of Your love,
a channel of Your grace,
a reflection of Your light.
Let every blessing I have received
overflow into the lives of others—
for Your glory and for their good.
In Jesus' name,
Amen."
