May no evil come near me.

Amen. "May no evil come near me" is a prayer of divine protection—a declaration of trust in God's covering, a plea for His hedge of safety, and a confidence that the One who watches over you is greater than any force that seeks to harm you.

📖 The Scriptural Foundation

This prayer echoes the promises of God's protection throughout Scripture:

"Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place—the Most High, who is my refuge—no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent." (Psalm 91:9-10)

This is not a promise that life will be free of trouble, but a promise that God's covering is real and His protection is active. When you dwell in Him, you are hidden in a place of safety.

"He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart." (Psalm 91:4)

The imagery is tender and powerful—like a mother bird gathering her chicks under her wings, God covers you. His faithfulness is your shield.

🛡️ What This Means for You

This Promise... Means... A Scripture to Hold

God's Covering Is Real You are not left exposed to the attacks of the enemy. You are hidden in Christ. "For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God." (Colossians 3:3)

No Evil Shall Prevail Evil may approach, but it cannot overcome you when you are under God's protection. "The evil one does not touch him." (1 John 5:18)

His Dwelling Is Your Refuge When you make God your dwelling place, you are in the safest place in the universe. "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty." (Psalm 91:1)

His Faithfulness Is Your Shield Not your strength, not your vigilance—His faithfulness is what protects you. "His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart." (Psalm 91:4)

🙏 A Prayer for Protection

Lord Most High,

You are my refuge, my fortress, my God in whom I trust.

I come to You and ask:

May no evil come near me.

Cover me with Your wings.

Hide me in the shelter of Your presence.

Let Your faithfulness be my shield against every attack.

I pray against every plan of the enemy—

Every scheme, every trap, every weapon formed against me.

I declare that they will not prosper.

I declare that no evil will touch me or my household.

Protect me in my going out and my coming in.

Protect me in the waking hours and in the stillness of sleep.

Protect me from the seen and the unseen,

From the known and the unknown.

I trust in Your name.

I hide in Your presence.

I rest in Your protection.

"The Lord will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore." (Psalm 121:7-8)

In Jesus' mighty name,

Amen.

🕊️ A Declaration of Divine Covering

I declare today:

No evil shall come near my dwelling.

No weapon formed against me shall prosper.

The Lord is my protector, and I am safe in Him.

I am hidden in the shadow of the Almighty.

I am covered by the blood of Jesus.

I am guarded by angels of His presence.

The enemy may roar, but he cannot touch me.

The darkness may press, but it cannot overcome me.

For greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world.

"The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them." (Psalm 34:7)

💎 A Final Encouragement

You do not need to live in fear of evil. You are not unprotected. The same God who delivered Daniel from the lions, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego from the fire, and Israel from Egypt is watching over you tonight.

His angels are encamped around you. His faithfulness is your shield. His presence is your refuge. No evil can ultimately harm you because you belong to Him.

"The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him." (Nahum 1:7)

Rest tonight, child of God. You are safe in the hands of the Almighty.
