 The Lord Loves You

The Lord loves you.

Not as a general principle,vague and undefined,

But with a specific,knowing love that has seen your heart and mind.

A love that chose you before the world was made,

A love that will not falter,will not change, will not fade.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)

This love is not based on your merit, your strength, or your worth,

But on His own character,from which this love bursts forth.

It is a pursuing love that found you in your wandering way,

A healing love that meets you in your brokenness today.

I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness. (Jeremiah 31:3)

Let this truth be the ground beneath your feet when you stand,

The comfort in your grief,the strength in the command

To love others as you have been loved,so perfectly and free,

By the Lord who calls you His own,for all eternity.

The Lord loves you.

This is the truest thing about you.

Receive it. Rest in it. Live from it.
