In the Presence of Jesus
In the presence of Jesus, all shadows lose their form.
The clamor of the world gives way to a different, deeper norm.
Here, there is no striving, no need to prove or pretend,
Only a love that knows no limit, a grace that will not end.
Here, in the quiet of His gaze, my restless heart finds rest.
My deepest wounds are spoken to, my broken parts are blessed.
The guilt that whispered in the dark is met with “You are Mine,”
And every chain of “not enough” begins to untwine.
In your presence there is fullness of joy. (Psalm 16:11)
In the presence of Jesus, I remember who I am—
Not the sum of my failures, but the child of the great I AM.
I am seen, I am known, I am wanted, I am free,
Held in a love that chose the cross to draw me close to Thee.
This is the place of transformation, the space where I am changed,
Where old priorities are gently, thoroughly rearranged.
Here, my vision clears to see the world through His eyes of grace,
And I find the strength to walk with mercy in my everyday pace.
In the presence of Jesus—this is my one true need.
My anchor in the chaos, my living water, my planted seed.
So I will linger here, and let this truth sink deep and start:
To be with Him is heaven for my earth-bound, longing heart.
Amen.
If you would like to reflect on a particular aspect of His presence—such as His healing, peace, or guidance—I am here to continue this journey of worship with you.
