My Jesus, My Provider

 My Jesus, My Provider

My Jesus, my Provider—not just of the bread I eat,

But of every breath I borrow, every promise made complete.

You are the well that will not run dry within a barren land,

The open hand of Heaven, the architect of plan.

And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19)

You provided manna in the wilderness' dread space,

And rivers from the desert rock,a monument to grace.

You filled the widow’s empty jar,and multiplied the loaves,

And from a borrowed fishing net,a bounty You bestowed.

Yet Your greatest provision came not in a grain or gold,

But in the broken body that the Father’s love foretold.

You gaveYourself—the Living Bread—upon the cruel tree,

To satisfy the deepest hunger of my soul in need of Thee.

Jesus said, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry.” (John 6:35)

So I will trust You for the daily—for the temporal, the small.

I will trust You for theeternal—You are my All in All.

You clothe the lilies, feed the birds; You know my path, my frame.

My Jesus, my Provider, blessed be Your holy name.

You are enough.

My portion. My supply.

In life or death, my need You satisfy.

Amen.

Reflections on His Provision

This declaration rests on the full biblical picture of God's provision:

· Provider of All Good Gifts: Every good gift comes from the Father above (James 1:17). He knows our physical needs and invites us to trust Him for them (Matthew 6:25-33).

· The Ultimate Provision in Christ: The greatest need of the human heart is forgiveness and reconciliation with God. This was provided once and for all through the sacrifice of Jesus, the "Lamb of God" (John 1:29).

· Our Response of Trust: Recognizing Him as Provider leads us away from anxiety and into a posture of grateful dependence and generous sharing (2 Corinthians 9:8-11).

To call Jesus "my Provider" is to declare that our deepest security and satisfaction are found in His person and His faithful care, both for this life and the next.
