Nothing is worth more than You.

Not the approval of a world that spins and fades,

Not the gold that rusts,the legacy that shades.

Not the dream achieved,the comfort earned, the praise,

Not the sum of all my yesterdays or all my future days.

If I gained the earth, its kingdoms and its art,

But did not haveYou, I’d have nothing at the start.

A hollow victory,a crown of vacant gold,

A story never written,a heart forever cold.

What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ. (Philippians 3:8)

You are the pearl of greatest price, the treasure in the field,

For whom a wise soul happily would everything else yield.

You are the living water for which I’d leave my jar,

The one,true, brilliant morning and the only guiding star.

So let this truth dismantle every idol in its place,

And let me hold toYou with a surrendered, open grace.

For any gift without the Giver is a burden in disguise,

But havingYou, I have it all—the only priceless prize.

Nothing is worth more.

No one compares.

You are my treasure, my joy, my end, my prayer.
