**"The Sinner’s Cry"**
_A Prayer Poem of Repentance and Salvation_
---
Save me Lord,
**Lord, I come—broken, guilty, ashamed,**
Knowing my sin has left me stained.
Yet Your Word promises mercy free,
So with trembling heart, I kneel to Thee.
*"Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret."*
**—2 Corinthians 7:10**
---
**I confess—I’ve wandered, proud and blind,**
Choosing my way, leaving Yours behind.
Every rebellion, every lie,
Every moment I’ve grieved You—I cry:
*"Against You, You only, have I sinned and done what is evil in Your sight."*
**—Psalm 51:4**
---
**Forgive me, Jesus—wash me clean,**
By Your blood shed at Calvary’s scene.
I turn from all my sinful ways—
Break every chain, Lord—end my days of straying!
*"Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and He will have mercy on them."*
**—Isaiah 55:7**
---
**I believe—Your cross paid my debt,**
Your resurrection conquers death!
Come reign within me—make me new,
I surrender now—my life to You.
*"If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."*
**—Romans 10:9**
---
**Save me, Jesus—I’m Yours alone,**
No more my will, but only Thine own.
Write my name in Heaven’s scroll,
A sinner redeemed—a ransomed soul!
*"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!"*
**—2 Corinthians 5:17**
---
**Thank You, Father—adopted, forgiven,**
Sealed by Your Spirit, heir of Heaven!
Now and forever, I’ll sing Your praise—
My life, my all—to You I raise!
*"See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!"*
**—1 John 3:1**
---
**Amen.**
Save me My Lord,
Dr. Lion.
