*A Heart's Cry for Intimacy with Christ*  

**1. THE ONE THING (Psalm 27:4)**  

*"Not blessings or crowns, nor miracles' sign—*  

*Just one gaze at Your beauty, my Jesus divine.*  

*Let others seek treasures the world may afford,*  

*But Your nearness alone is my great reward."*  

**2. BETTER THAN LIFE (Psalm 63:1-3)**  

*In dry weary lands where my soul thirsts and faints,*  

*Your love satisfies more than earth's sweetest saints.*  

*No water, no glory, no gift could replace*  

*The warmth of Your whisper, the light of Your face.*  

**3. THE HIDING PLACE (Psalm 91:1-2)**  

*When storms rage around me and fears multiply,*  

*One moment with You makes the tempest pass by.*  

*No fortress, no army, no wealth can compare*  

*To shelter secured in Your presence so fair.*

*Like Martha I worry, with serving distressed,*  

*Till kneeling at Your feet, I find holy rest.*  

*The "many things" fade when the "one thing" is clear—*  

*Just sitting with You makes all other things dear.*

*When ages shall end and new heavens unfold,*  

*Your face—only Your face—will this glad heart behold.*  

*No sun will be needed, no moon's silver beam,*  

*For You'll be my glory, my joy, and my theme!*
