Bought with the Blood of Jesus.

 Bought with Your Blood

A Reflection on 1 Peter 1:18-19

Bought with Your blood—not with silver or with gold,

Not with treasures that this dying world can hold.

No earthly currency could pay the price so steep,

No human sacrifice could reach the chasm deep.

For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed... but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. (1 Peter 1:18-19)

Bought with Your blood—the crimson flowing stream,

That washed away my guilt and freed me from my dream

Of earning my own way, of climbing to the sky.

You paid it all—I need not try.

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace. (Ephesians 1:7)

Bought with Your blood—I am not my own.

I was a slave, abandoned and alone.

But You came searching, found me in the night,

And bought me back into the Father's light.

You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of human beings. (1 Corinthians 7:23)

Bought with Your blood—what love is this,

That the King of glory would trade His throne for a kiss

Of reconciliation, for a rebel's embrace,

And leave His righteousness in my sin's place?

God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Corinthians 5:21)

So I will live my life for You alone,

A grateful heart before Your throne.

Bought with Your blood—the highest price,

My sacrifice of praise, my living sacrifice.

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. (Romans 12:1)

Bought with Your blood.

Forever Yours.

Amen.

I am Free.

 I Am Free

A Declaration of Liberty in Christ

I am free—not just a feeling, not just a phrase,

But the reality of grace that ends my wandering days.

The chains that held me captive have been shattered by His hand,

I am no longer prisoner—I am free to stand.

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. (John 8:36)

I am free from condemnation, from the weight of guilt and shame,

For the One who bore my sin has now erased my name

From the ledger of the guilty, from the debt I could not pay—

He canceled it forever on that resurrection day.

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:1)

I am free from fear of death, from the grave's dark, cold embrace,

For the risen Lord has robbed it of its sting, its victory, its face.

Death is but a shadow, a door into the light,

Where I will see my Savior and be forever bright.

Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting? (1 Corinthians 15:55)

I am free from striving for a love I could not earn,

From the endless, weary cycles of a heart that would not learn.

His grace has found me, claimed me, wrapped me in a robe of white—

I am no longer orphaned; I am a child of light.

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light. (Ephesians 5:8)

I am free—not to do whatever pleases my own will,

But to run the race of freedom with a heart that's true and still.

Free to love, free to serve, free to worship and obey,

Free to live the life of heaven in the dust of earth's short day.

Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God's slaves. (1 Peter 2:16)

So I declare it now, aloud, for all the world to see:

I am free because the Son of God has set me free.

No chain, no lie, no power of hell can steal this liberty—

I am free. Forever free. And He has set me free.

Amen.

No more slave.

 No More Slave

A Reflection on Galatians 4:7

No more slave—the chains have fallen,

The prison doors are open wide.

No more cowering, no more calling

On a master who would hide.

So you are no longer a slave, but God's child; and since you are His child, God has made you also an heir. (Galatians 4:7)

No more slave to sin and shame—

The debt is paid, the past erased.

I am not defined by my own name,

But by the One who me embraced.

For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace. (Romans 6:14)

No more slave to fear's dark grip,

No more trembling at the night.

For love has come to break the trip,

And turn my darkness into light.

For you did not receive a spirit of slavery that returns you to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship, by whom we cry, "Abba, Father." (Romans 8:15)

I am a child of the Most High,

An heir to all His boundless store.

No more a slave to justify,

For grace has opened every door.

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! (1 John 3:1)

So let me walk in liberty,

No longer bound, no longer small.

For Christ has come to set me free—

No more slave. I am His all.

Amen.

I thank God.

 I Thank God

A Heart of Gratitude

I thank God—not just when the sun is bright,

But in the shadows of the longest night.

I thank Him for His faithfulness and grace,

For mercy new that meets me face to face.

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever. (Psalm 118:1)

I thank God for the breath within my lungs,

For every song my grateful spirit sings.

For daily bread, for shelter from the storm,

For arms that keep me safe and warm.

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights. (James 1:17)

I thank God for the cross, the empty grave,

The life He gave, the world He came to save.

For Jesus, my Redeemer, Friend, and King,

For all the hope His resurrection brings.

Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift! (2 Corinthians 9:15)

I thank God in the waiting and the pain,

For He is working all things for my gain.

I thank Him when I cannot see the way,

Because He is my light and my display.

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

So let my life be one continuous prayer,

A thankful heart beyond all earthly care.

I thank God—not for what I have or hold,

But for His love that never will grow old.

Amen.

What a Friend we have in Jesus.

What a Friend We Have in Jesus

A Reflection on the Hymn and Scripture

What a friend we have in Jesus—not a distant king,

But a brother, close and present, who receives our everything.

He is the friend who sticks closer than a brother,

The one who stands beside us like no other.

Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends. (John 15:13)

What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!

Not a burden left to carry, not a solitary care.

He invites us, weary-hearted, to come find in Him relief,

To trade our heavy sorrow for the balm of unbelief's relief.

Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere?

We should never be discouraged—He is always, always there.

He knows our every weakness, He has walked the road we tread,

The man of sorrows, acquainted with the grief we've often said.

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet He did not sin. (Hebrews 4:15)

Are we weak and heavy laden, cumbered with a load of care?

He is our refuge, our strong tower, our answer to despair.

His arms are open wide to hold us, His shoulder bears our weight,

His heart is moved with compassion—never early, never late.

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28)

What a friend! He never leaves us, never fails, never forsakes.

In the silence and the shouting, in the giving and the takes,

He remains the same tomorrow as He was in days of old—

The faithful Friend who bought us with a love that can't be told.

I will never leave you nor forsake you. (Hebrews 13:5)

So take heart, O weary traveler, you are known, you are His own.

You are loved beyond all measure, you are never, never alone.

What a friend we have in Jesus—let us take Him at His word.

Tell your story, bring your trembling to the Savior, Friend, and Lord.

Amen.

Save me, Lord.

 Save Me, Lord

A Cry from the Depths

Save me, Lord—the waters rise,

The flood of trouble fills my eyes.

I sink in deep and treacherous mire,

My strength is gone, my hope is dire.

Save me, O God, for the waters have come up to my neck. I sink in the miry depths, where there is no foothold. (Psalm 69:1-2)

Save me, Lord—I cannot save myself.

My righteousness is but a shelf

Of broken deeds and empty pride.

In You, and You alone, I hide.

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. (Psalm 51:10)

You are my rock, my fortress strong,

The refuge where I flee from wrong.

Do not delay, O Lord, I pray,

Come quickly—take this fear away.

Be my rock of refuge, a strong fortress to save me. (Psalm 31:2)

Save me, Lord—not just from the deep,

But from the promises I could not keep.

Save me from myself, my wayward will,

And let Your Spirit me fulfill.

The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1)

For in Your name is all my hope,

Your grace alone can help me cope.

I lift my eyes to You above—

Save me, Lord, with Your unfailing love.

Amen.

Let the Poor say I am Rich.

Let the Poor Say, "I Am Rich"

A Reflection on 2 Corinthians 8:9 and James 2:5

Let the poor say, "I am rich"—

Not in the currency of earth, not in the fleeting treasure

That moth and rust corrupt or thieves break through to seize.

But in the wealth of heaven, beyond all human measure,

In the riches of His grace that set the captive soul at ease.

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich. (2 Corinthians 8:9)

I am rich in forgiveness—every debt is paid,

The ledger of my sins wiped clean, the charges overlaid

By the blood of the Lamb, the currency of the cross.

My poverty of spirit has become eternal gain, not loss.

I am rich in adoption—I am called a child of God,

An heir with Christ, on this solid rock I trod.

No longer orphaned, no longer left outside,

But brought into the family where love will ever abide.

Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom He promised those who love Him? (James 2:5)

I am rich in presence—the Spirit dwells in me,

The Comforter, the Counselor, the living, breathing key

To every door of blessing, every storehouse of His power.

I lack no good thing in this very hour.

So let the poor say, "I am rich" —not in pretense,

But in the reality of a faith that makes immense

The smallest seed of trust, the faintest ray of hope.

For God's economy has a different scope:

The last are first, the humble are raised high,

And the poor in spirit inherit the kingdom of the sky.

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:3)

I may not have a storehouse filled with grain,

But I have the Bread of Life who sustains me in the rain.

I may not wear the finest silk or gold,

But I am clothed in righteousness, a garment bought of old.

So I will say it boldly, with joy and not with shame:

"I am rich"—because I bear the King's own name.

Not by what I own, but by whose I am,

A child of the Father, the resurrected Lamb.

Let the poor say, "I am rich."

For in Christ, we have everything.

Amen.

Let the weak say I am strong.

Let the Weak Say, "I Am Strong"

A Reflection on Joel 3:10 and 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

Let the weak say, "I am strong"—

Not in their own might, not in their own right,

But in the power of the Lord who rights every wrong,

In the strength that shatters the darkness with light.

Let the weak say, "I am strong." (Joel 3:10, AMP)

For when I am weak, then I am strong—

This is the paradox, the upside-down song

Of the kingdom of God, where the last are first,

And the broken and humble are quenched, not cursed.

But He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. (2 Corinthians 12:9)

So I will not hide my frailty or my need,

For in my emptiness, His seeds

Of resurrection power take root and grow,

And from my weakness, His strength will flow.

Let the weak say, "I am strong" —not a lie,

But a declaration that reaches the sky.

It is not denying the battle or pain,

But trusting the One who causes the lame to walk again.

That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (2 Corinthians 12:10)

When I have no more to give, He gives through me.

When I cannot stand, His arms carry me.

When my voice fails and my courage breaks,

His Spirit within me awakens and takes

The broken words and turns them to praise,

And lifts my head through the darkest days.

So I will say it—not in arrogance or pride,

But in the humble confidence of the One who died

And rose again to be my strength and song.

Let the weak say, "I am strong."

For the Lord is my light and my salvation—

Whom shall I fear?

The Lord is the stronghold of my life—

Of whom shall I be afraid?

The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1)

I am strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.

Not in myself, but in Him, every hour.

So let the weak say it, let the broken shout it,

Let every trembling heart have no doubt about it:

"I am strong—because He is my strength."

Amen.

Praise is the name of My God.

Praise Is the Name of My God

Praise is the name of my God—not just an act I bring,

But who He is, my everything.

He is the song that fills my mouth,

The North that guides me, south from south.

When I call His name, I call on praise—

The ancient, endless, holy blaze.

I will praise You, Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify Your name forever. (Psalm 86:12)

Praise is His dwelling, His throne, His home,

Where angels and redeemed ones roam.

He inhabits the praises of His people,

Seated above the highest steeple.

So when I lift my voice and sing,

I am not just offering—

I am entering the gates of grace,

And coming face to face.

But You are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel. (Psalm 22:3, NKJV)

Praise is the name of my God—He is worthy,

In every season, calm or stormy.

When joy abounds or sorrows press,

His name is still my blessedness.

I do not praise to earn His love,

But because He rules the heavens above.

Let everything that has breath give praise—

The morning stars, the ancient days,

The oceans deep, the mountains high,

The eagle circling in the sky.

For His name alone is excellent,

His glory over all is evident.

Let them praise the name of the Lord, for His name alone is exalted; His splendor is above the earth and the heavens. (Psalm 148:13)

So I will praise You, God, my King,

And of Your wondrous works I'll sing.

Praise is the name, the key, the door,

The reason I will evermore

Declare that You are good and true—

Praise is the name of my God. I praise You.

Amen.

Happy Easter. The Lord had risen.

 Happy Easter!

He Is Risen Indeed

Happy Easter—not just a greeting for a day,

But a declaration that death has lost its sway.

The tomb is empty, the stone is rolled away,

And darkness cannot keep the Light at bay.

He is not here; He has risen, just as He said! (Matthew 28:6)

This is the day of victory and song,

The day the church has waited for so long.

The cross is empty, and the grave is bare,

And hope now breathes in every whispered prayer.

Happy Easter—for the Lamb has overcome,

The battle for our souls is fully won.

Sin's power broken, death's sting torn away,

We rise with Him to everlasting day.

Death has been swallowed up in victory. Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting? (1 Corinthians 15:54-55)

The sun shines brighter on this morning light,

The birds sing sweeter, for the dark is night.

The women came with spices, but they found

An angel sitting on the rolled-away ground.

Happy Easter—let the whole earth sing,

Let every voice its hallelujah bring.

For Jesus lives, and because He lives,

We too have life—the life that heaven gives.

I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me will live, even though he dies. (John 11:25)

So let us feast, let us rejoice, let us proclaim:

The King of glory has defeated shame.

The stone is rolled away, the door is open wide,

And in His resurrection, we now hide.

Happy Easter, beloved.

He is risen. He is risen indeed.

And in His rising, we are freed.

Amen. Hallelujah!

God does not give spirit of fear but power, love and a sound mind.

Here is a poetic reflection and a collection of scriptures celebrating the truth that God has given us a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind—not fear.

---

Not Fear, But Power and Love

God has not given a spirit of fear,

So why should I tremble, why should I fear?

When the darkness whispers and shadows grow,

His perfect love will overflow.

He gives me power—not my own,

But strength to stand before the throne.

Power to conquer, power to live,

Power to love and to forgive.

He gives me love—a love so deep,

That all my fears are put to sleep.

A love that casts out every dread,

And lifts the burden from my head.

He gives a sound mind—calm and clear,

Not tossed by every anxious fear.

A mind that trusts, a mind at peace,

Where all my anxious thoughts can cease.

So when fear knocks upon my door,

I will not hide there anymore.

I'll open up and let Him in—

The One who conquers fear and sin.

For God has spoken, and I believe:

I have not been given a spirit to grieve.

But power, love, a sound mind true—

These are the gifts He gives to you.

A Prayer to Receive Power, Love, and a Sound Mind

Heavenly Father,

Thank You that You have not given me

a spirit of fear.

Fear is not from You.

Panic is not from You.

Anxiety is not from You.

Paralyzing dread is not from You.

But You have given me

a spirit of power—

to stand, to speak, to serve in Your name.

You have given me

a spirit of love—

to love You, to love others, and to receive Your love.

You have given me

a spirit of a sound mind—

clarity, peace, wisdom, and self-control.

So today, I reject fear.

I reject the lies that say I am alone,

that I am weak,

that I cannot face what is coming.

Instead, I receive Your power.

I receive Your love.

I receive a sound mind.

Fill me, Holy Spirit,

with everything that comes from You.

Let me walk in freedom,

not in fear.

In Jesus' mighty name,

Amen.

Perfect Love casts out FeAr

Here is a poetic reflection and a collection of scriptures on the powerful truth that perfect love drives out all fear.

---

Love That Casts Out Fear

Fear has a voice that whispers lies,

It magnifies the threat before my eyes.

It tells me I am all alone,

That I must face the storm alone.

But perfect love speaks louder still,

A voice that bends to do God's will.

It says, "You're Mine, I hold you fast,

This storm, like all the rest, will pass."

Fear looks at circumstances tall,

At all the ways that I could fall.

But love looks at the cross and sees

The victory that has set me free.

Perfect love—not my own,

But love that comes from God's own throne.

A love that drove Him to the grave,

A love with power strong to save.

So when fear knocks upon my door,

I will not hide there on the floor.

I'll open up and let love in,

And fear will flee again.

For perfect love has cast it out,

Replaced my trembling with a shout.

No more a slave to what I dread,

For love has lifted up my head.

A Prayer Against Fear

Father of Love,

You have not given me a spirit of fear,

but of power, love, and a sound mind.

Yet fear still knocks at my door.

It whispers lies about tomorrow.

It magnifies my problems and shrinks my faith.

It tells me I am alone, forgotten, and unprotected.

But Your Word says that perfect love casts out fear.

So I invite Your love

to fill every corner of my heart

where fear has tried to dwell.

I receive Your love today—

not a love I have earned,

but the love You have shown me

in Jesus Christ.

Because You love me,

I have nothing to fear.

Because You are with me,

I am never alone.

Because You are for me,

who can stand against me?

Let Your perfect love

drive out every fear—

fear of failure,

fear of rejection,

fear of the future,

fear of death.

I am loved.

I am safe.

I am Yours.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.

If you pray and believe, you will receive it

Here is a poetic reflection and a collection of scriptures on the powerful principle of praying with believing faith—receiving before you see.

---

Believe That You Have Received

Before the answer comes in sight,

Before the morning turns to light,

Before the mountain moves away—

Believe that you have received today.

Not a wish, not a hope, not a desperate plea,

But a confident trust in the One who sees.

The prayer is heard, the answer sealed,

By faith, the breakthrough is revealed.

So when you pray, release the care,

And know that God is already there.

He is faithful, He is true,

And He will do what He promised you.

Do not look at what you see,

But at the One who set you free.

Your circumstance may cry, "Not yet!"

But faith declares, "My debt is met."

Thank Him now for what will be,

For eyes that see invisibly.

For the answer that is on its way,

Believe that you have received today.

For Jesus said, with words so clear,

"Have faith in God, do not fear.

Whatever you ask when you pray,

Believe you've received—it will be done for you today."

---

Scripture for Believing Prayer

Believe That You Have Received:

All Things Are Possible:

A Prayer of Believing Faith

Father,

I come before You in the name of Jesus,

not with doubt,

but with faith.

Your Word says that when I pray,

I must believe that I have received,

and it will be done for me.

So Lord, I choose to believe.

Before I see the answer,

before the circumstance changes,

before the mountain moves—

I believe that You have heard me,

and that You are already at work.

I thank You now for what You will do.

I praise You for the answer that is on its way.

I release my worry and my fear,

and I trust in Your perfect timing.

Not my will, but Yours be done.

But I know that You are a good Father,

and You love to give good gifts

to Your children who ask.

So I ask with confidence.

I believe with expectation.

And I receive with gratitude.

In Jesus' mighty name,

Amen.

If you ask My Father, in My Name, He will give you.

Here is a poetic reflection and a collection of scriptures on the powerful promise of asking the Father in Jesus' name.

---

In My Name

Ask the Father in My name,

And you shall not ask in vain.

Not by merit, not by worth,

But by the One who came to earth.

The Son has opened heaven's door,

The veil is torn, we fear no more.

Come boldly to the throne of grace,

And seek your Father's radiant face.

In My name—the name above,

The name that speaks the Father's love.

The name that conquered sin and grave,

The name that has the power to save.

Whatever you ask, I will do,

That the Father may be glorified in the Son.

So lift your voice, your heart, your prayer,

And trust the One who placed you there.

Not by your eloquence or plea,

But by the blood that sets you free.

The Father hears His children's cry,

When in the Son's dear name they draw nigh.

So ask, and you shall receive,

Believe, and never cease to believe.

For every promise, yes and amen,

When you ask the Father in My name.

A Prayer in Jesus' Name

Heavenly Father,

I come before You

not in my own name

or by my own merit,

but in the precious name

of Your Son, Jesus Christ.

He has promised

that whatever I ask in His name,

You will give me.

Not because I deserve it,

but because You love me

and because Your Son has opened the way.

So I lift my requests to You—

for my needs, for my loved ones,

for my struggles, for my hopes.

I ask according to Your will,

trusting that You hear me

and that You are good.

Thank You that I can call You Father.

Thank You for the name of Jesus,

the name that unlocks heaven's door.

In His name I pray,

Amen.

Do not worry for tomorrow, sufficient for today is the evil thereof.

 Do Not Worry About Tomorrow

A Reflection on Matthew 6:34

Do not worry about tomorrow—let it go,

For tomorrow has its own burdens, its own ebb and flow.

Sufficient for the day is its own trouble,

Its own sorrow, its own rubble.

So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. (Matthew 6:34, AMP)

Today has enough—enough to fill

Your hands, your heart, your mind, your will.

The present moment holds its weight

Of grace and struggle, love and hate.

Do not borrow from the coming tide

The fears that in tomorrow hide.

When you worry about what might be,

You miss the peace He gives for free.

You trade the manna for today

For anxious thoughts that steal away

The joy that waits in this one breath,

The life that conquers fear of death.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. (Matthew 6:34, NIV)

The birds don't sow, they don't reap or store,

Yet your Father feeds them evermore.

Are you not more than they? Then why

Do anxious questions fill the sky?

"What will we eat? What will we wear?"

He knows your needs, He hears your prayer.

Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? (Matthew 6:26)

The lilies of the field don't toil or spin,

Yet Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like them.

If God so clothes the grass that's here today and gone tomorrow,

Will He not clothe you, child of faith, and calm your sorrow?

And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow... (Matthew 6:28)

So let tomorrow keep its own distress.

Give it to the One who loves to bless.

Today, receive the grace sufficient for the hour,

Today, receive His peace, His love, His power.

My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness. (2 Corinthians 12:9)

Do not worry about tomorrow—

Not because there is no pain,

But because the One who holds tomorrow

Holds you now in His gentle reign.

Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

And sufficient for the day is His grace—

Enough to carry, enough to cover,

Enough to meet you face to face.

So let the future be unknown.

You are not alone.

The God who walks you through today

Will be there tomorrow, come what may.

Amen.

God is Light

 God Is Light

A Reflection on 1 John 1:5

God is light—pure, radiant, and true,

In Him there is no darkness, no shadow, no hue

Of sin or deceit, no hidden stain,

No flicker of evil, no hint of pain.

This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. (1 John 1:5, AMP)

He is the Sun that never sets,

The dawn that every fear forgets.

He is the lamp that guides my feet,

The brightness where my soul can meet

The fullness of His holy face,

The glory of His endless grace.

In His light, I see my need—

Every hidden thought, every selfish deed.

The shadows flee, the lies are bare,

His truth exposes every snare.

But not to shame, not to destroy—

To heal, to cleanse, to fill with joy.

For You are my lamp, O Lord; the Lord illumines my darkness. (2 Samuel 22:29, AMP)

God is light—and in that light, I walk.

No more stumbling, no more balk

At the path He sets before my eyes.

His radiance burns through every disguise

That the enemy wraps around my heart—

His light tears the lies apart.

When darkness whispers I am alone,

His light reminds me of His throne.

When shadows claim I have no worth,

His light declares my second birth.

When fear would blind and doubt would hide,

His light becomes my faithful guide.

The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? (Psalm 27:1, AMP)

God is light—and I am called to shine,

A mirror of His love divine.

Not by my own, but by His flame,

Reflecting back His glorious name.

A city on a hill, a lamp on a stand,

A witness of His healing hand.

You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. (Matthew 5:14, AMP)

So let me walk in the light as He is in the light,

That fellowship with Him and with His saints be bright.

Let me love the brightness, not the shade,

Let every dark corner be gently unmade

By the penetrating, purifying ray

That turns my midnight into day.

If we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. (1 John 1:7, AMP)

God is light.

No darkness in Him at all.

And in His light, I stand, I rise, I call

Him Father, Friend, and King—

The radiant source of everything.

Let there be light—and there was light.

And in that light, I find my flight

From every shadow, every chain—

God is light, and He will reign.

Amen.

God is my Banner.

 God Is My Banner

Jehovah Nissi — The Lord Is My Banner

God is my banner—not a flag of war,

But a standard of love that goes before.

He is the rallying point, the victory sign,

The One who claims this heart of mine.

Moses built an altar and called it The Lord Is My Banner. (Exodus 17:15)

When the battle rages, when the enemy presses,

When fear surrounds and doubt oppresses,

I lift my eyes to the banner unfurled—

The God of heaven, the Lord of the world.

My banner is not cloth or pole,

But the mighty presence that makes me whole.

He goes before me into the fight,

He turns my darkness into light.

The Lord your God is the One who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you victory. (Deuteronomy 20:4)

God is my banner—not for my glory,

But to tell the world a different story:

That the battle is His, the victory sure,

And His love for His children will endure.

When I feel surrounded, weak, and small,

When I stumble and fear I'll fall,

I look to the banner raised on high:

Jehovah Nissi—my battle cry.

You have given a banner to those who fear You, that it may be displayed because of the truth. (Psalm 60:4)

God is my banner—He covers my head,

He goes before me wherever I'm led.

He fights for me when I cannot fight,

And turns my darkness into light.

So I will not fear what man can do,

For the Lord Almighty sees me through.

He is my banner, my shield, my sword,

My conquering King, my faithful Lord.

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:57)

And when the final battle is done,

When the war is over, the victory won,

I will stand beneath that banner still—

Not by my strength, but by His will.

Jehovah Nissi—

The Lord is my banner.

Forever and always,

My victory and my stand.

Amen.

If God is for us, who can be against us.

If God Is for Us, Who Can Be Against Us?

A Reflection on Romans 8:31

If God is for us, who can be against us?

This is the battle cry, the shield, the chorus

That silences every accusing voice,

That leaves the enemy no other choice

But to flee before the mighty power

Of the One who reigns in this very hour.

What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31)

If God is for us—the Creator of all,

The One who holds the stars in thrall,

The King of kings, the Lord of lords,

The wielder of heaven's angelic swords—

Then what is any earthly foe,

Any power on earth, any force below?

Who can be against us—and succeed?

No enemy, no rival, no mortal greed.

They may rage, they may roar, they may plot and plan,

But the One who is for us is greater than man.

The mountains may shake, the oceans may roar,

But the God who is for us has opened the door.

The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1)

If God is for us, then no weapon formed against us shall stand.

No scheme of darkness, no evil hand

Can snatch us from the Father's care,

For He has declared us His children fair.

He did not spare His own Son, but gave Him for all,

And with Him, He gives us everything—every good gift, every call.

He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all—how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things? (Romans 8:32)

Who can bring a charge against God's elect?

It is God who justifies—who can object?

Christ Jesus who died, who was raised to the throne,

Is interceding for us, making our cause His own.

Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. (Romans 8:34)

So let the world rise up and rage,

Let fear and doubt turn their darkest page.

Let sickness come and sorrow press,

Let loss and grief leave their deepest mess—

But still we will whisper, still we will shout:

If God is for us, we will not doubt.

What shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? ... No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. (Romans 8:35, 37)

For nothing can sever us from His love—

Not death, not life, not powers above,

Not angels, not demons, not present, not future,

Not height, not depth, no earthly suture.

The God who is for us has sealed us His own,

And we will never, ever walk alone.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39)

So lift your head, you weary one.

The battle is over, the victory won.

If God is for you—and He always is—

Then nothing can stand against you, nothing can dismiss.

If God is for us, who can be against us?

No one. No thing. No power. No fear.

For the Lord Almighty is already here.

Amen.

Gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ.

The Gift of God Is Eternal Life

Through Jesus Christ Our Lord

The gift of God is eternal life—

Not a wage for work, not a prize for strife,

Not a reward for the good we've done,

But a free gift given through God's own Son.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23)

Eternal life—not just endless days,

Not just a future of golden rays,

But knowing the Father, the only true God,

And Jesus Christ, whom the Father has sent abroad.

Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. (John 17:3)

It is a gift—you cannot earn it,

You cannot buy it, you cannot learn it

By study or striving or religious deed.

It comes by grace to the soul in need.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Through Jesus Christ—the only way,

The truth, the life, the living ray

That pierces the darkness of sin and shame,

And calls each sinner by their name.

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)

So receive the gift—it is offered free.

Open your heart, bend your knee.

Confess with your mouth, believe in your heart,

And let the eternal life in you start.

If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)

Not a wage, but a gift.

Not a debt, but grace.

Not a temporary pardon, but an eternal embrace.

Thank You, Father, for the gift.

Thank You, Jesus, for the sacrifice.

Thank You, Spirit, for drawing us near.

Eternal life begins right here.

Amen.

Good Friday

 Good Friday

The Day That Changed Everything

Good Friday—how can it be called good,

This day of darkness, this day of blood?

The day when innocence was condemned,

When the Son of God met a criminal's end.

Surely He took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered Him punished by God, stricken by Him, and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed. (Isaiah 53:4-5)

The sky grew dark, the earth did quake,

The temple curtain began to break.

The rocks split open, the dead were raised,

And heaven itself looked down, amazed.

Good Friday—the day the Lamb was slain,

To wash away every guilty stain.

The perfect sacrifice, once for all,

Answered the Father's righteous call.

When He had received the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, He bowed His head and gave up His spirit. (John 19:30)

It is finished—the debt is paid.

The price for sin has fully been made.

No more sacrifices, no more blood

Of goats and bulls, no more muddy flood

Of ritual and religion's toil—

The work is done on this cursed soil.

Good Friday—the day of seeming loss,

When hope was nailed to a rugged cross.

The disciples scattered, the women wept,

While the enemy smiled, for he thought he kept

The victory in his grasp so tight—

But he did not know that Friday's night

Was only the prelude to Sunday's dawn,

When death would be shattered and life reborn.

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. (1 Corinthians 1:18)

So why call it good? Because on this day,

Love won a battle in a mysterious way.

Not with a sword, not with a crown,

But with arms stretched out and a thorn-pierced frown.

He took our place, He bore our shame,

He spoke forgiveness in His Father's name.

Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." (Luke 23:34)

Good Friday—the day hell shuddered and lost,

The day the enemy counted the cost.

For while he thought he had claimed the King,

The cross became the offering

That opened heaven's door for all

Who on this Savior choose to call.

So let us gaze upon the tree

Where the King of love died to set us free.

Let us remember the nails, the spear,

The crown of thorns, the silent tear.

But let us not stay in sorrow's place—

For Sunday's coming, full of grace.

He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by His wounds you have been healed. (1 Peter 2:24)

Good Friday.

The day the world went dark at noon.

The day the grave received its doom.

The day the curtain tore in two.

The day that love broke through.

And because of this day, we have hope.

Because of this day, we can cope.

Because of this day, sin has no hold.

Because of this day, we are made bold.

Thank You, Jesus, for Good Friday.

For the cross, for the pain, for the price You paid.

For the love that would not let us go—

We worship You, our Savior, low.

Amen.
