We love you Lord, forever and ever.

We Love You Forever and Ever

A Reflection on Psalm 136:1-3, 1 John 4:19, and Revelation 4:11

We love You forever and ever—not for what You give,

But for the life You died for us to live.

Your love has captured every heart,

And from Your love we will not depart.

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His love endures forever. (Psalm 136:1)

We love You—because You first loved us,

When we were lost, when we were dust.

You called us from the dark into Your light,

You gave us hope, You gave us sight.

We love You—in the valley and the peak,

In the silence and the suffering, in the victory and the weak.

Through every season, every test,

You are the One who gives us rest.

We love because He first loved us. (1 John 4:19)

We love You forever—not for a season or a span,

But for all eternity, as the great I AM.

From everlasting to everlasting,

Our love for You will be steadfast and lasting.

We love You—with all our heart, all our soul,

With all our strength, You make us whole.

We lift our voices, we raise our hands,

We bow our hearts to Your commands.

Forever and ever—let the angels sing,

Let the heavens ring, let all creation bring

Their praise to the One who is worthy of all,

Who lifts the fallen and answers our call.

“Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things.” (Revelation 4:11)

We love You forever and ever—this is our vow,

Our song, our prayer, our "here and now."

Not by our strength, but by Your grace,

We will love You in every time and place.

Amen.
