All the Earth Rejoice.

 All the Earth Rejoice

A Reflection on Psalm 96:11-13, Psalm 98:7-9, and Romans 15:11

All the earth rejoice—let every creature sing,

Let the hills and valleys echo, let the heavens ring.

The Lord is reigning, the Lord is King,

Let all creation shout and bring

Their praise to the One who made the skies,

The One who hears His people's cries.

Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let the sea resound, and all that is in it. (Psalm 96:11)

Rejoice—not a whisper, not a sigh,

But a roar of praise that reaches high.

The mountains clap their hands, the trees sing for joy,

The fields exult, the oceans employ

Their waves to declare His glorious name,

The Lord of hosts, the great I AM.

Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing together for joy. (Psalm 98:8)

Let the earth rejoice—for the Lord has come to save,

He has conquered sin and conquered the grave.

No more fear, no more dread,

For the King of kings has raised the dead.

The enemy is silenced, the victory is won,

The work of salvation is forever done.

All creation waits with eager expectation,

For the revealing of the sons of God, their liberation.

The groaning earth will be set free,

And all will bow the knee

To Jesus, the Lion and the Lamb,

The Alpha, the Omega, the great I AM.

For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. (Romans 8:19)

So rejoice, O earth! Let the joyful sound

Spread to every nation, to every ground.

From the rising of the sun to its setting,

Let the praise of God be never forgetting.

All the earth rejoice—for the Lord is good,

His love endures forever, as it always should.

And again, “Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles; let all the peoples extol Him.” (Romans 15:11)

Amen. Hallelujah!
