God turns evil of man into Good.

Amen. This is one of the most profound and hope-filled truths in all of Scripture—that our God is sovereignly able to take the evil intentions of men and weave them into His tapestry of good. He does not cause evil, but He is Master over it.

"You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives."

— Genesis 50:20 (NIV)

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

— Romans 8:28 (NIV)

A Prayer Trusting God to Transform Evil into Good

Sovereign Lord, Ruler of all history and every human heart,

You are not the author of evil, yet You are its Master.

What men intend for harm, You can turn for good.

What the enemy schemes for destruction, You can redeem for deliverance.

I bring before You the wrongs done to me—

the betrayals, the wounds, the injustices.

I cannot undo them, but I trust You to redeem them.

Take the evil meant to break me

and transform it into something that shapes me,

teaches me,

and even becomes a source of blessing for others.

Joseph's brothers sold him into slavery,

but You used it to save nations.

They crucified my Lord,

but You used it to save the world.

You are the God of the empty tomb—

the One who brings life from death,

good from evil,

morning from midnight.

I trust You with my story.

I trust You with my scars.

I trust You to write redemption

through every chapter of my life.

In the name of Jesus,

the ultimate proof that You turn evil into good,

Amen.

A Hebrew Word for This Truth

שָׁבַת (Shavat) – To cease, to rest. Also related to שָׁבָה (Shavah) – To restore, to make whole. God causes the evil intended against us to cease its destructive work and restores us through it. He brings Sabbath to our sorrow and wholeness from our wounds.

A Blessing of Redemption

May you see with Joseph's eyes—

not blind to the evil done,

but open to the God who redeems it.

May you trust with Jesus' heart—

that the worst the world can do

is never greater than the best God can make of it.

May your story become a testimony:

They meant it for evil, but God meant it for good.

Your pain is not wasted. Your God is still writing.
