God's Grace and Peace
Grace and peace to you—not as the world gives,
But as the Father offers, the very way He lives.
Grace that covers every failure, every hidden, guilty stain,
Peace that calms the raging storm and stills the anxious brain.
Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. (2 Peter 1:2)
Grace—the unmerited favor of the God who sees it all,
Who knows the depths of every heart, who hears the silent call.
Not a wage for work accomplished, not a prize for being good,
But a gift of love unmeasured, sealed in sacrificial blood.
It finds us in our wandering, it meets us in our shame,
And whispers, "You are welcome here," and calls us by our name.
Peace—the quiet certainty that God is on the throne,
That even when we walk alone, we never walk alone.
It is not the absence of the storm, but the presence of the One
Who speaks, "Be still," to crashing waves and the setting of the sun.
A peace that passes understanding, guarding heart and mind,
A fortress and a resting place for all who seek and find.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7)
Grace and peace—they travel together, hand in hand,
The twin gifts of mercy from the promised land.
Grace to start each morning, fresh and new and free,
Peace to end each evening, knowing I am held by Thee.
May grace and peace be yours in abundance, full and deep,
In waking and in sleeping, in sowing and in reaping.
May grace restore you when you fall, may peace sustain your soul,
May these twin blessings carry you until you're fully whole.
Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Father's Son, will be with us in truth and love. (2 John 1:3)
So receive them now, beloved—not as distant, future things,
But as present, living promises from the King of kings.
Grace for every moment, peace for every day—
These are the gifts He gives to those who trust and pray.
Amen.
