Holy Spirit fall upon me.

 Holy Spirit, Fall Upon Me

Holy Spirit, fall upon me now.

Not as a gentle whisper only, but as a rushing, mighty wind,

To shake the comfortable places, to awaken what is dim within.

Come as the fire that fell at Pentecost, tongues of flame,

To ignite a passion for Jesus, to glorify His name.

Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:2-4)

Fall upon my mind—illumine every darkened thought.

Bring clarity where confusion has its battles fought.

Teach me all things, bring to remembrance every word

That Jesus spoke, that living truth my spirit has heard.

Fall upon my heart—soften what has grown hard and cold.

Melt away the layers of hurt, the protective walls I've rolled

Around myself to keep from feeling, to keep from pain.

Let Your love flow freely through me like a gentle, healing rain.

But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. (John 14:26)

Fall upon my will—take the reins, I surrender all.

Every plan, every dream, every ambition, great or small.

Let Your leading be my compass, Your purpose be my guide.

In Your hands, my life is yielded; in Your love, I will abide.

Fall upon my lips—let them speak with power and grace.

Give me words of truth and season to heal and to embrace.

When I pray, let the Spirit intercede with groans unspoken.

When I witness, let the words be spoken that can awaken.

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. (Romans 8:26)

Fall upon my hands—let them be instruments of blessing,

Reaching out to heal the broken, giving without assessing

Who is worthy, who deserves, who has earned a touch.

Let me give as I have freely received—so much, so much.

Fall upon my worship—breathe new life into my song.

Let it rise as sweet aroma, let it carry me along

Into the presence of the Father, where I belong.

Let my praise be Spirit-led, both passionate and strong.

God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth. (John 4:24)

Holy Spirit, fall upon me—not just for a moment's thrill,

But for a lifetime of surrender, for the working of Your will.

Fill me, flood me, flow through me, make me more like Christ,

Until the day I see Him face to face in paradise.

Come, Holy Spirit.

I am ready. I am waiting. I am Yours.

Fall upon me now.

Amen.
