Do not forget nor forsake me, My Lord.

 **"Do Not Forget Me, Lord"**  

My Lord, my Lord, my heart’s deep plea—  

Do not forget nor forsake me.  

Though shadows linger, though tears may fall,  

You are my God, my hope, my all.  

*"Can a mother forget the baby at her breast?  

Though she may forget, I will not forget you!  

See, I have engraved you on the palms of My hands."*  

**(Isaiah 49:15-16)**  

When strength is gone and fears arise,  

When faith is weak and doubt supplies—  

Still, I will cling to Your promise true:  

*"I will never leave you nor forsake you."*  

**(Hebrews 13:5)**  

If desert paths seem dry and long,  

If sorrow sings its weary song,  

Remind me, Lord, You walk with me—  

Your rod, Your staff, my comfort be.  

*"The Lord Himself goes before you; He will never leave you."*  

**(Deuteronomy 31:8)**  

So though I plead in trembling prayer,  

I trust Your love, Your constant care.  

For You are God, unchanging, true—  

My Lord, my Life, my light, my way,  

You hear me when my soul cries, *"Stay."*  

**Amen.**
