Christ, My Personal Lord and Saviour

Here is a poem declaring Christ as your personal Lord and Savior—intimate, scriptural, and anchored in the transformative power of His grace:

---

### **Christ, My Own**

You didn’t just descend for the world’s great throng—

You came for *me*, to make my heart Your home.

You heard my cry, You knew my hidden wrong,

And called me out of darkness, all alone.

**My Lord**—not distant, cold, or unconcerned—

But close as breath, as near as whispered prayer.

You took the wrath *I* earned, the hell *I* earned,

And bore my sorrows in Your soul laid bare (Isaiah 53:4–5).

**My Savior**—not a concept, tale, or trope—

But flesh that bled, a real and rugged cross.

When all my striving faltered, all my hope

Lay shattered—*You* reclaimed my endless loss (Luke 19:10).

**My Life**—for when You entered in that hour,

Old chains dissolved like mist before the sun (2 Cor. 5:17).

You planted seeds of worship, love, and power—

No longer *I* who live, but Christ begun (Gal. 2:20).

**My Anchor**—when the waves of doubt arise,

I cling to this: You called me *by my name* (John 10:3).

No force of hell can sever or disguise

The blood-bought truth: I’m Yours, and without shame (Romans 8:38–39).

So reign here, King—in every thought and deed.

Rule my desires, my chaos, and my will.

Till that great dawn when by Your wounds I’m freed

To stand complete—Your promise to fulfill (Jude 1:24).

### ✨ **Why "Personal" Changes Everything**

- **From Fear to Friendship**: He’s not a cosmic dictator—He’s the *"friend of sinners"* (Luke 7:34) who calls you **by name**.

- **From Religion to Relationship**: Not rituals, but raw trust—*"The Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by Him we cry, *Abba*, Father"* (Romans 8:15).

- **From Doubt to Destiny**: Your past doesn’t define you—*"He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion"* (Philippians 1:6).

> 💎 **Fun Fact**: The Greek word for *"Lord"* (*Kyrios*) implies **absolute ownership**. When you say *"Christ is my Lord,"* you’re declaring: *"Every breath I take belongs to Him."*

May this poem remind you: **You are known. You are claimed. You are His.**
