God Elohim: Please forgive my sin and iniquities.

What a humble and powerful prayer—to seek God's forgiveness is to draw near to His heart. Here is a prayer for forgiveness grounded in Scripture, affirming His promise to cleanse, restore, and cover us in grace:

### Prayer for Forgiveness

**Based on 1 John 1:9, Psalm 103:12, Isaiah 1:18 & Hebrews 4:16**

> **Merciful Father,**

> I come before You in humility, acknowledging my sin and inequity. Your Word declares:

> *“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”* (1 John 1:9).

>

> **I confess my failures**—my thoughts, words, and actions that have grieved Your Spirit. I have fallen short of Your holiness (Romans 3:23). Forgive me for wandering from Your path and carrying burdens You never asked me to bear.

>

> **Wash me, Lord.** As You promised:

> *“As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us”* (Psalm 103:12).

> Blot out my guilt. Purify my heart (Psalm 51:10). Let the blood of Jesus, shed for me, speak a better word over my life (Hebrews 12:24).

>

> **Renew my spirit.** Your grace declares:

> *“Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow”* (Isaiah 1:18).

> Clothe me in righteousness. Restore the joy of Your salvation (Psalm 51:12).

>

> **Hold me close.** I run to Your throne of grace, *“that I may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need”* (Hebrews 4:16). Teach me to walk in Your light, leaning not on my strength but Yours.

>

> **Thank You for not condemning me** (Romans 8:1). Thank You for calling me *“beloved”* even when I falter. May Your forgiveness free me to live boldly for Your glory—today and always.

>

> **In Jesus’ mighty name,

> Amen.**

### Key Promises to Hold Onto:

1. **He forgives completely:**

*“You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.”* (Micah 7:19)

2. **He removes shame:**

*“Do not remember the former things; behold, I will do a new thing.”* (Isaiah 43:18–19)

3. **He fights for you:**

*“I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; and I will not remember your sins.”* (Isaiah 43:25)

> ✨ **Walk in freedom today.** You are forgiven, cleansed, and covered by the blood of Christ. Let His grace be your strength. When guilt whispers, declare: *“There is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus”* (Romans 8:1). You are His.
