Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty

 What a thunderous cry—joining the eternal anthem of heaven itself:  

**“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come!”**  

(Revelation 4:8)  

Here is a prayer rising from that holy awe:

*A Prayer of Awe & Surrender*

**Holy, Holy, Holy—**  

**God Almighty!**  

Before You, angels veil their faces (Isaiah 6:2).  

Before You, stars sing in their courses.  

Before You, mountains melt like wax (Psalm 97:5).  

*You reign—unshaken, eternal, infinite in purity.*  

**Your holiness is fire**—  

Burning away all that is false.  

**Your holiness is light**—  

Exposing every shadowed thought.  

**Your holiness is love**—  

A consuming flame that refines, not destroys.  

*You are separate—high and lifted up—*  

*Yet You draw near to the contrite heart (Isaiah 57:15).*  

**I join the heavenly chorus:**  

> *“Holy!”* — in Your justice, perfect and true.  

> *“Holy!”* — in Your mercy, making rebels new.  

> *“Holy!”* — in Your power, holding galaxies in place.  

**No other name echoes through eternity like Yours.**  

**Almighty One—**  

Maker of Orion’s belt and the sparrow’s wing,  

Author of redemption’s story,  

Commander of angel armies,  

**Yet...**  

You bend to hear *my* whispered prayer (Psalm 116:2).  

You call *me* Your child (1 John 3:1).  

*This is the wonder that shatters me.*  

**Purify my praise, O God!**  

Let no pride stain this worship.  

Cleanse my lips with grace’s coal (Isaiah 6:6–7).  

Ignite my soul with holy fear and fiery love.  

**You alone are worthy—**  

Not my plans, my strength, my wisdom—  

*Only You.*  

**In this broken world where shadows linger,**  

**Be glorified in me.**  

Break chains with Your holy authority.  

Raise the dead with Your holy breath.  

Send revival in Your holy fire.  

*“Almighty”—nothing is too hard for You (Jeremiah 32:27).*  

**Until the day**  

Every knee bows, every tongue confesses:  

*“Holy, Holy, Holy—Lord God Almighty!”*  

**Keep my heart bowed low before Your throne,**  

Overwhelmed, surrendered, trusting—  

*For You are God alone.*  

**In the name of Jesus—**  

The Holy One who makes us holy—  

**Amen.**

### The Threefold Cry of Heaven  

- **In Isaiah’s Vision:** *“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of His glory!”* (Isaiah 6:3)  

- **Around the Throne:** *“Day and night they never stop saying: ‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty...’”* (Revelation 4:8)  

- **To Our Hearts:** *“You shall be holy, for I am holy.”* (1 Peter 1:16)  

**He is holy *with* us** (Immanuel),  

**holy *for* us** (our Redeemer),  

**holy *in* us** (by His Spirit).
