Trust our Lord our God.

Here is an original poem centered on the theme of trusting the Lord, woven with key scriptural promises.

### **The Path of the Unseen Hand**

When morning breaks with shadows long,

And heart is weak though faith be strong,

I hear a whisper, calm and clear,

To cast away the weight of fear.

For though the way is dark and strange,

His ancient promise will not change.

> *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight."* (**Proverbs 3:5–6**)

I will not trust in horse or wheel,

Nor strength that human hands can feel.

My refuge is a higher ground,

Where perfect peace and grace are found.

The waves may roar, the storms may rise,

But I will fix on Him my eyes.

> *"Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God."* (**Psalm 20:7**)

Like trees that by the river grow,

With roots that deep in water go,

I shall not fear the heat or drought,

Nor let my spirit faint with doubt.

For He who knows the sparrow’s fall,

Is Sovereign Lord and Guard of all.

> *"But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water..."* (**Jeremiah 17:7–8**)

So let the evening bring its rest,

Upon the Savior’s faithful breast.

The plans He has are good and true,

To bring the hope of life anew.

Until the dawn of endless day,

In Him I’ll walk, in Him I’ll stay.

> *"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."* (**Jeremiah 29:11**)
