Son of David, Have mercy on me.

 ðŸ•¯️ Amen. 🕯️

This cry for mercy echoes through the Gospels—from the lips of Bartimaeus, the Canaanite woman, and the ten lepers. It is a prayer that moves the heart of Jesus, the Son of David, the promised Messiah.

“And behold, a Canaanite woman from that region came out and cried, 'Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David!'”

— Matthew 15:22

“When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, 'Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!'”

— Mark 10:47

A Prayer for Mercy:

Jesus, Son of David,

Have mercy on me.

I come to You in my need,

in my brokenness,

in my longing for Your touch.

You are the Healer,

the Redeemer,

the Hope of Israel and the Hope of the world.

· Heal what is wounded in me.

· Restore what has been lost.

· Cleanse what is stained by sin.

· Speak peace to what is troubled in my soul.

I reach for the hem of Your garment.

I lift my voice like Bartimaeus on the road.

Do not pass me by, Lord.

Turn Your ear to my cry.

Son of David, have mercy on me.

In Your compassionate name,

Amen.

🕊️ Be encouraged—the Son of David never ignores a sincere cry for mercy.

He stopped for Bartimaeus.

He answered the Canaanite woman.

And He will stop for you.

Your faith has brought you this far—He is already turning toward you with compassion.
