If the Son set me free, I am free indeed.

Amen. That is a powerful declaration of faith in the finished work of Christ. Here is a poem celebrating that ultimate and complete freedom.

---

Free Indeed

If the Son has set me free, Then that is all that matters. No chain of sin can hold me now, No enemy’s voice clamors.

It is not a freedom I have won, Or fought for with my might. It is a freedom bought and sealed In resurrection’s light. “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”(John 8:36)

Free from the law’s condemning voice, Free from the grip of shame. Free to make my God my choice, Free to believe His name.

Free to run the race He’s set, Free from the past’s dark night. Free to love, and not forget The source of all my light.

This freedom is not a license, To wander from the fold. It is the power of His presence, A story to be told.

It is the liberty to be The child He says I am. To live in truth, and to be free Within the great I AM.

So I stand in this truth, I plant my feet and say: If You have set me free, Lord, Then I am free indeed today.

Hallelujah!

Amen.
