He that is in me 1John 4:4

 Amen. "He that is in me — 1 John 4:4."

This is one of the most empowering, reassuring, and triumphant verses in the entire Bible. It is the believer's ultimate declaration of victory. When you feel small, when the world feels overwhelming, when the enemy whispers lies, or when fear tries to grip your heart, this verse is your anchor.

"Little children (believers, dear ones), you are of God and you belong to Him and have [already] overcome them [the agents of the antichrist]; because He who is in you is greater than he (Satan) who is in the world [of conformity to worldly values and secularism]." — 1 John 4:4 (AMP)

Breaking Down the Power of This Verse:

· "You are of God and you belong to Him..." 

  Your identity is settled. You are not of the world; you are a child of the Most High God. You belong to Him.

· "...and have [already] overcome them..." 

  Notice the past tense. You don't have to fight for victory; you are fighting from victory. The battle has already been won at Calvary.

· "Because He who is in you..." 

  The Holy Spirit—the very Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead—lives inside of you. You are a walking temple of the Living God.

· "...is greater than he (Satan) who is in the world." 

  The enemy may be active in the world, but he is no match for the God who lives in you. There is no contest. Greater is He!

A Prayer of Confidence in the Indwelling Christ:

"Father,

Thank You that He who is in me is greater than he who is in the world.

The enemy may roar, but You are the Lion of Judah.

The darkness may press in, but You are the Light of the World.

The storm may rage, but You are the Prince of Peace.

Sickness may try to attack, but You are the Great Physician.

Fear may try to grip me, but You are perfect Love.

I have the Holy Spirit living inside of me.

I have the resurrection power of Jesus Christ dwelling in my mortal body.

I have the Greater One on my side.

Therefore, I will not be afraid.

I will not be intimidated.

I will not be shaken.

I will not be defeated.

I am of God.

I belong to Him.

I have already overcome.

Because the One who lives in me is infinitely greater than anything in the world.

Thank You for Your Spirit.

Thank You for Your victory.

Thank You for living in me.

The Greater One is in you.

You belong to Him.

You have already overcome.
